Women's Football!

The ITA made an appearance recently to watch Scotland ladies take on their Russian counterparts at Tynecastle in the first leg of a crucial double header against the Russians to qualify for the European finals. There were goals, Scotland lost 3-2 and won the away leg but went out on away goals (typical Scottish). This outing was notable for the ITA debut of Sponge, who despite it being women trying to play and freezing cold, had a good time. We suspect he will be back one day...
Scotland Vs Norway
After beating Iceland in Iceland, spirits were high going into the home match against Norway. The ITA ranks were depleted due to lack of available tickets. We teamed up for the first time with Mathers Bar Tartan Army. Mathers Bar is located on the west end of Princes Street and we fully recommend it for a pint or ten. We joined them on a bus to the Beachwood pub in Glasgow and back again to Mathers for some apres-beers. Shite game with a sorry 0-0 result which leaves Scotland’s world cup dream hanging by a thread. Thanks again to the Mathers TA though, hopefully we can arrange something similar in the future. Photos from this game can be found Here.
Scotland Vs Argentina
A friendly in the middle of winter, in the middle of the week and in the middle of Glasgow was not ideal for the ITA. 4 hardy souls made the journey to watch Scotland succumb by a single goal to the South Americans. It was a crock of crap and Gordon Smith (I know he reads the ITA site), please no more crappy friendlies with crappy locations and crappy kick off times. The ITA demand better!

Review of the Year
