Gary McAllister, Met by the ITA at Hampden Park, Glasgow

Gary McAllister MBE is a Scottish footballing legend, and is a member of the Scottish Football Hall Of Fame, having won over 50 caps for his country. During a sensational playing career which saw him pull on the jerseys of Motherwell, Leicester City, Leeds United, Coventry and Liverpool, Gary won a Premiership title, the FA and League Cups and the UEFA cup. He was a member of Scotland's 1990 World Cup squad and captained the 1996 side at the European Championships in England, memorably having a penalty saved by David Seaman during a 2-0 defeat. Upon his retirement McAllister managed former side Coventry, before becoming involved in the media, and most recently being named Ambassador for the new Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League. McAllister was handed another shot at management in February 2008, taking over the hotseat at former club Leeds United.
